Spiritual truths and scientific facts do not contradict each other in Daheshism, because they are of the same sourceGod.
The concept of a miracle in Daheshism does not contradict what scientists refer to as the impossible transgression of the laws of nature. The miracle is a transgression of the laws of nature relative to human knowledge. However, Divine Spirits have superior knowledge and ability to understand and control the nature of things, diseases, and events. As an example is the ability of the Angelic Spirit or the Holy Spirit to transmute a wooden object into gold, silver, or anything else. On this subject, Dr. Dahesh answers a question posed to him by one of the readers of “Burooq Wa Ru’ood:”
Q: This is great, however, what is your explanation of how the elements of one object are transmuted into different elements? This is by far the strangest thing I have heard!
A: We asked the Spirit about how such a transmutation can take place and it explained it as follows: The (sub-molecular) structure of each object corresponds to a specific frequency that determines its characteristics (signature). Wood has a certain frequency, iron has another, steel has yet another, and so on... For example, when you ask me to transmute an ashtray from wood to metal, I change the frequency of the wooden elements to match those of the desired metal and as a result, the transmutation takes place.
Q: Is it possible to submit to the occurrence of miracles, as religious faith dictates and the adherence to scientific facts about the laws of nature, without finding ourselves in a contradiction?
A: The contradiction will certainly occur if we attribute the miracle making to any individual living on this planet. Miracles violate the laws of nature that apply to all creatures. We will have contradiction if we attribute the violation of the laws of nature on a particular planet by one of its inhabitants. Thus, if someone predicted the occurrence of certain events 20 days into the future and we believed such a story, then we will be in contradiction with the laws of nature. However, we will not be in contradiction, if the Spirit took over the Prophet Elijah and made him predict, in details, what will be the outcome of a group of people in 20 days, because the laws that apply to human beings do not apply to the Spirit. It is written in the Qur’an “But a day for your Lord is like a thousand years of what you reckon.” (The Pilgrimage/Al-Hajj: Verse 47)
Q: Is it possible for scientific and Spiritual truths to contradict each other? If not, why is there some contradiction between Holy Books and science?
A: It is not possible to have a contradiction once scientific facts become stable and final. That is, if you meant by “Spiritual Truth” what the Spirit provided and not what people fabricate, because there is only one truth. This contradiction, if it takes place, exists among researchers, interpreters, and theorists and not between Spiritual Truths and scientific facts. Some of the contradiction may also be a result of alterations in Holy Book texts, or in misinterpreting scientific facts.
In Daheshism, spiritual and scientific truths are one and the same. Earth is billions of years old and human beings existed on earth for millions of years. However, Daheshism produces a spiritual truth that scientists have not yet been able to discover: human beings currently in existence are the descendants of Adam and Eve, who started a new creation cycle after Earth had been through hundreds of earlier creation cycles over millions of years.
