Paradise and Hell are comprised of millions of worldseach with a specific spiritual rank and collectively form the universe. It is virtually impossible for any spiritual Fluid to be elevated to the perfection and purity of the Spiritual World (the realm of God) without undergoing a thorough cleansing from materialism (time-space).
On this subject, Dr. Dahesh answers a question posed to him by one of the readers of “Burooq Wa Ru’ood:”
Q: Does Daheshism believe in Paradise and Hell? What do Heaven and Hell represent in Daheshism?
A: Yes, Daheshism believes in worlds that Holy Books collectively referred to as “Heaven and Hell.” Such physical worlds are numbered in the countless billions, and only a few thousands that we can see during the night sky. It was revealed to us through the Spirit, that each physical world has its own creatures, forms, rules, perceptions, and laws that vary considerably from what we have on our planet. Some are full of happiness, and others are full of horrible misery. Earth is like a school of a certain spiritual level and is attended by any person who earned being in it. That is, anyone who has brought his spiritual level to its level, where he can learn several things and be subjected to many temptations; such as: arrogance, greed, and desires. Either the person passes the tests within himself, where good is victorious over evil and righteousness over immorality, or fails the tests. Daheshism believes that every creature on earth remains on earth after death, passing from one life to another, and in every life, taking on a certain form and social condition relative to his deeds in the previous life(s). This cycle continues until the person reaches a certain level, where he will move on to a better planet that is at a certain level of the worlds of Paradise, or will descend to a lower planet that is at a certain level of the worlds of Hell. In this fashion, the ascending or descending on every planet is in accordance to his successes or failures in facing the trials until he reaches the level of perfection. Only at that point, that he becomes one with God and where his happiness is greatest. This is what the Hindu call “Nirvana,” or the goal of every Spirit is to become one with its Creator.
Q: Since God is capable of everything, why doesn’t He enlighten the minds of human beings so that they can refrain from evil and from fighting and to guide them in believing in the Prophets?
A: Yes, God is capable of everything. However, He has given man a mind to guide him and to be a special critic of his deeds. He also enhanced his mind with the teachings of the Prophetsthat pass on a small portion of God’s enlightenment. He then has given man the freedom to think, desire, and behave. He also dictated what specific end corresponds to whatever path man selects in life. One path may lead to happiness and assured victory, while another path may lead to misery and major failure compounded by humiliation and great suffering. Reward and punishment can only be, if there is freedom of thought and action. Every person will be asked about his deeds and whoever produces a small measure of good, will reap the rewards and whoever produces a small measure of evil, will reap the punishment. This system of reward and punishment is structured according to God’s Justice and Wisdom. The evil things that human beings do are the bad fruits that their Sayalat produced. The low levels of their Sayalat took place only through their free will. Their current social, intellectual, and economic levels are a direct result of their actions in previous lives.
